One of our instructors from California, Shaykh Tameem Ahmadi, will be joining us in shaa Allah to speak about the actions one can perform to find relief and assistance in the face of trials and tribulations. Shaykh Tameem will discuss the a’maal which aid a person in times of difficulty and their uplifting effect on our lives. Without a doubt, we live in trying times, and given the amount of suffering we see around us, we hope that this lecture will help us put things into perspective and find that much-needed consolation and spiritual healing.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Shaykh Tameem Ahmadi studied at San Francisco State University, after which he set out to pursue the study of sacred knowledge. He engaged in a rigorous curriculum of religious knowledge, studying under some of the foremost Islamic scholars of North America, Africa, and South Asia. His studies resulted in numerous authorizations (ijazahs) in the Islamic sciences such as fiqh, hadith, ‘aqidah, tafsir, usul, Arabic grammar and spirituality. In addition to this, upon completion of the Darse Nizami curriculum in a traditional seminary, he was granted a degree and a formal authorization (ijazah) in the six major books of Hadith from his teachers.
Shaykh Tameem also immersed himself in the study of the Spiritual Sciences of the Heart under the private tutelage of one of the most honorable Spiritual Masters of our time, focusing on the subject of tazkiyyah (purification). Being granted the mantle of authorization to teach and transmit, he returned to the Bay Area of California under the advice of his Shaykh.
Since his return to the Bay Area, Shaykh Tameem has dedicated himself to teaching and benefiting the community with what he had mastered abroad. Shaykh Tameem currently teaches classes on tafsir, hadith, fiqh, ‘aqidah, tazkiyyah and Arabic. He is a regular lecturer at numerous mosques and halaqahs throughout Northern California.
He has translated and authored a number books and articles and continues to strive in his literary efforts. Shaykh Tameem currently heads several scholastic efforts and is a counselor and mentor for religious seekers of all ages.
